The first Kingdom Hearts game came out back in 2002 on the Playstation 2. Since then the there have been multiple sequels and spin off games for various platforms in the series. The series is developed and published by Square Enix (creator of many classic RPG franchises including the Final Fantasy series), and is collaborated with Disney, which the game features many “worlds” and characters from the Disney universe. It’s considered an action role-playing game.
Kingdom Hearts III’s release date hasn’t been officially released, however Square Enix has been working on this project since it was first announced at E3 back in 2013 (June). It begs the question, since Disney has acquired Pixar Studios, Marvel and the Star Wars rights, could all or any of these new franchises show up in Kingdom Hearts III? Could this be the reason why the game has been delayed for so long? Kingdom Hearts III is expected to be released for both the PS4 and Xbox One, and is built on the Unreal Engine 4 engine.
What do you think? Would you like to see Star Wars show up in the Kingdom Hearts II, and if so, what world and characters would you like to see?
