Disney Snubs George Lucas

Back in 2012 George Lucas sold the rights of Star Wars to Disney for a sum of $4 billion dollars.  Fans were interested to see how much influence George Lucas would have in the next installment in the series.  The Star Wars prequels that came out between 1999-2005 had mixed reviews by many Star Wars enthusiast.

Lucas had crafted ideas for the new set of movies and had wanted to share them with Disney, however through an interview with Lucas on Cinema Blend this past Tuesday, Lucas said the following:

“Well, the ones that I sold to Disney and everything, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those,” Lucas told Cinema Blend. “So they made up their own. It’s not the ones that I originally wrote.”

What do you guys think about Disney shooting down Lucas’ ideas?  Is it good or bad for the series? Share your thoughts below.
